Drexel London (a firm) v Gove (Blackman) [2009] WASCA 181 (21 October 2009) involved a catastrophic balcony collapse at a New Year's Eve party held at a strata-titled unit. Supporting timber (oregon) was not appropriate for exterior use. Thirty five injured party goers. Strata company and local council found not liable. Architects and engineers liable.
